Bulgarian government and the National Association of Grain Producers (NAGP) have reached an agreement, as announced at a press conference at the Council of Ministers after the meeting, FOCUS News Agency reporter informs.

The two parties have signed an annex to the memorandum signed on June 8, 2010.
NAGP Chairperson Radoslav Hristov presented the agreement.

According to the paper, the payments will be received by all beneficiaries, who do not have due debts to the National Revenue Agency (NRA), by April 30, 2011, following the single payment scheme.
Beneficiaries with unpaid taxes will be given a 15-day deadline to pay off their debts and file a tax clearance certificate at the State Fund Agriculture and then they will receive the money.
“We want that fertile Bulgarian land cultivates grain and corn instead of being filled with sun batteries,” Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said at a press conference, FOCUS News Agency reporter informs.
At a bilateral meeting at the Council of Ministers, the National Association of Grain Producers and the government reached an agreement and signed an annex to the previously adopted memorandum.
“We want to apologise for the delayed payments. Situation in the world made us hold them up,” Borisov remarked.
“I have ordered an evaluation of the work of the management of the State Fund Agriculture and the directorates, and reshuffles to be made, if needed,” the prime minister added.
“We will not allow some clerks, sitting behind desks, to make us call sittings here and give explanation to the delayed payments,” he said further.

The National Association of Grain Producers freezes the protest actions until April 30.
“Bulgaria’s National Association of Grain Producers (NAGP) has sent a signal that concrete beneficiaries have not undergone checks and still there is delay in the payments. I have ordered a check at the State Fund Agriculture and if the suspicions are confirmed there will be dismissals,” Bulgarian Minister of Agriculture and Food Miroslav Naydenov said at a press conference, FOCUS News Agency reporter informs.

The press conference comes after a bilateral meeting of the National Association of Grain Producers and the government reached an agreement, which signed an annex to the previously adopted memorandum.
